The Real Jamaica - Lime Tree Farm

I am continually impressed with the unique experiences Jamaica has to offer outside of the typical tourism corridor. Our family spent a fabulous weekend in the Blue Mountains at Lime Tree Farm with Suzy, Charlie, Tiffany and Alex. I had heard about Lime Tree, and am so glad we finally made the connection. It is a very special guest house with 3 unique cottages and excellent food in an intimate and beautiful setting. From our perspective, Green Castle Estate and Lime Tree Farm represent the best of what Jamaica can offer. We enjoyed the spring flowers and mountain berry picking at Cinchona Botanical Garden, a forgotten treasure of Jamaica. The Sunday morning hike on the old mountain roads had beautiful views and kept the kids entertained. Thanks Lime Tree for such a great weekend! We can't wait to host you. http://www.limetreefarm.com

Now that we know each other, we are looking forward to creating a small group or family package that will make it easy to take advantage of both unique locations. I am sure our like minded approach to an authentic and personal guest experience will create a very special holiday in Jamaica. We'll keep you posted!

Green Castle Estate, Robins Bay, Jamaica

As I have watched the cold winter temperatures over the Internet, I have come to appreciate, to an even greater degree, the warm sunny weather of Jamaica in the winter time. It isn't just warm, it is balmy, lovely breezes, sunny days, swaying palm trees and singing birds. It makes the beauty of Green Castle Estate even more seductive. The Estate is 1600 acres, with fabulous mountain and sea views. It is a nature lovers paradise, miles of farm roads for walking, birds of all shapes and sizes, and the natural and safe beauty of the Jamaican countryside. It has to be one of the most fabulous winter get-aways in the Caribbean. With all that Green Castle has to offer, a website didn't seem adequate, we needed an opportunity to tell the world how great it is in a more personal way, and thus, the Blog. Thanks for stopping in!

Up until a couple of years ago, Green Castle was a private Estate, its lovely views and natural beauty kept to a lucky few. But Green Castle is too good to keep a secret. We now rent the Estate House, http://www.gcjamaica.com/, which offers a unique and authentically Jamaican get-away, with home cooked Jamaican food, visits to the local market, and a chance to eat and drink in our local village, Robins Bay. We, as a family, have lived at Green Castle for almost 4 years. Our two children, ages 6 and 8 consider themselves Jamericans, a vibrant mix of both worlds. We all enjoy the opportunity to share our unique and beautiful world with visitors. We can help you make your vacation much more than just a vacation, but a chance to appreciate and learn about another culture, make new friends and rest and rejuvenate.

Come to Jamaican mon' it is lovely in the winter time!
